In February of 2015 April & the kids were in a car accident. A veterinary nurse was on her way to work and April was taking Rocco to preschool at Elwyn.
It was icy on the roads, the woman was coming down hill and they were going up...
Apparently she lost control of her car on a patch of ice and slammed into April. Both front left sides collided with each other. I am not aware of the outcome of the nurse's car but ours was totaled. However, it doesn't look that way from the pictures but all of the airbags were deployed upon impact.

April and the kids were shaken up but they bounced back fairly quickly and no one, in either car, was hurt.
All-in-all it was quite an experience with replacing 3 car seats that day, getting a loaner minivan and having to lease a new car (which we wanted to do anyway)...
April & I were just thankful that everyone involved was OK and that it all worked out for the best.
