New opportunities...

I briefly entertained a new position at Comcast in March of this year...

In the end it didn't work out because it was a pure contract position & the renewal wasn't guaranteed.

However, I was going back & forth quite a bit during my decision making process & kept asking God for a sign or for clarity in my dreams..

The night before I gave my final 'No', I had a dream:

Giulia was running through a giant castle.  There were people all over each floor & it was night time.  I can't remember all the particulars but Rocco & I were playing a video game.  We were projecting the screen onto the night's sky (since it was so dark out) and Giulia thought the images being projected from the game were real.  She winds up jumping off the balcony into the game imagery & plummeting.  I screamed for her & looked over the balcony watching her fall while she had her hand out reaching for me.  After a while she fell safely into a giant dinner bowl.  The balcony several floors below us, stuck out much further and was being set for an extravagant dinner party.  It took me a while to figure out which floor I was running down to & to move through the crowd but I finally got to her, scooped her up in my arms & woke up.

My takeaways were:

1) The fancy castle represented the 20K increase I was looking at.
2) The video game screen being the catalyst for her jump signify's me not wanting to toy with my future.
3) Giulia being OK after taking the leap meant that I'd be OK with whatever 'leap' I took.  Realize -- it's a risk either staying or going at this point.
4) It was Giulia that jumped instead of Rocco because a few nights prior, I jokingly asked the both of them what they thought about me switching to Comcast.
     a) Rocco said go & Giulia said stay.
     b) Since Giulia wanted me to stay, she had to be the one to jump & turn out OK for it to make sense.

At the end of the day I'm still with PBY and do not regret the decision...

Power of Prayer

Rocco asked me to help him pray for the first time this weekend... He was running a slight fever all day Saturday and was afraid of getting another stomach virus & throwing up all night long. After some acetaminophen it broke & he felt better but the fever kept coming back, even this afternoon -- April said!. Him & I had a real bad stomach bug several months ago. It was the first time I remember being laid up for 30+ hours without eating or really moving out of bed at all... He never forgot that night, hugging the toilet every few hours, etc... and wanted to say a prayer asking God to not let it happen again. Saturday night we prayed for Rocco's stomach & Giulia's boo boo on her back to go away. Sunday night we prayed for Mommy & Rocco's stomach bug. April passed a comment that she felt funny just before bed so Rocco wanted to throw her into his prayers. The prayer I came up with for the kids is a mixture of one of my lines from a song I did ...

Rocco is starting to read...

On February 25th 2016 -- Rocco read to us for the first time!!!
